Girls basketball team prepares for season with skills practice, work on teamwork
AMANI GYM ā The high-flying girls basketball team called the Eagles is coached by Coach Anderson. They are practicing for their first game.
The team has not selected a team leader, but will try to accomplish this before Christmas break, said Coach Anderson.
They are also going to get some new uniforms representing the school color scheme of black, purple, white and gray.
The team “has really talented ladies,” said Coach Anderson. “Most of them possess both athletic and leadership qualities on and off the court.”
Coach Anderson said she is “trying to teach them the skills of basketball.” The players are working on the elements of a team like commitment, teamwork, discipline, dedication and hard work.
