AMANI — There are several new teachers at Amani Public Charter School this year. Ms. Cobenas is the new sixth-grade math teacher.

“I chose Amani Public Charter School because I finished my masters in math,” said Ms. Cobenas. “I had the opportunity to work here. I got interviewed by one of the school’s administrators and started working here.”

“I also love math.”

Ms. Cobenas went to Hunter College. She started here during Saturday School and found Amani online.

“I feel very comfortable and love the students,” said Ms. Cobenas. “I also met some really nice kids in the school.”
